Selected Contemporary Paintings 
 

Influenced by the natural beauty of New Zealand, this body of work is heavily layered, textured and whimsical.   Using vibrant colours and concentrating on tension and composition, these new works feature collage and paint.  Organic shapes/line and more recognisable flora and fauna elements combine to offer the viewer a peek at a moment in time where nature heals and can lift the soul.
Mixed media by nature, many of these works include metallics and gold leaf.  Where collage is applied, all papers used are digitally manipulated from original artworks by Lisa Ann Art Studio, printed onto acid free paper.  Paint is often removed from one ground to another creating a smooth appearance eliminating texture and adhered onto the canvas, panel or paper.
